SocietyAid Ghana, during its advocacy and empowerment programs in rural communities, 24 young girls were enrolled in apprenticeship under the Girls-Aid Program. Skills includes; Hairdressing, Fashion design, Baking, Catering, Flower decoration and Soap making. Management meet these beneficiaries occasionally for counselling, Comprehensive Sex Education and other empowerment program. Under the Girls-Aid Program, 2 girls had the opportunity to further their education to the secondary level to pursue vocational courses through the support of SAID and caregivers. Currently, they are both in final year preparing for West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination 2019 (WASSCE). We are appealing to the global society to support our work by donating cash or in kind. We need tools such as Sewing machines,LPG Cylinders, Tables, Baking Sheets, Tonging machines, Sinks, Towels, Towel stands, Hair dryers, Ovens, neat-ting machines, etcetera to aid the ongoing apprenticeship program. Interested girls can fill the enrollment form for next batch.
